The Future with Laverne
What do we do in the future now?
You can talk to some of the weird humans in the lobby and find out that there is a beauty contest happening, and of course we want to win this
contest as this is really quite helpful for solving the game. So let's get it on.
At first we need a contestant of our own, so get
upstairs to the hallway and enter the
middle door. The mummy is the perfect candidate, don't you think?
So let's move him downstairs, just put the
rollerskates to the
mummy's feet and
push him down the stairs. Don't forget to take the
extension cord behind where the
was with you.
To the right of the fireplace in the
main hall is the
tentacle handling applications for the beauty contest, so go there,
get your
name tag and put it on the
mummy to get started.
As the tentacle mentioned, the contestant will be judged on best hair, best smile and best laugh, so we should take care of them.
Let's do what we need to do with the other Characters first, so send the
Scalpel to
Bernard and then switch to him.
Bernard
Get into the
kitchen behind that swinging door and grab that
fork on the table and send it to
Laverne. And while we are here we do a lot of other stuff
Bernard needs to do. Get back into the
main hall with
Oozo the Clown and finally get rid of him. Kill him with the
scalpel from Laverne. Pick up that
box'o laugh he left behind and send the box to
Laverne.
Get to
Dr. Fred's office and open the
drawer of the table. You will find a a tube of
Booboo-B-Gone. Pick it up and send it to
Laverne.
Now use the stairs and enter the right door in the
upstairs hallway to meet
Green Tentacle again. Go crazy and
push over his super sub speaker.
Turn on his newest
record and let it shake the room. This pushed over speaker even frees the fake barf on the ceiling of the lobby.
Turn off the music again
for easier controls and no more screenshaking now... and get down to the
lobby and pick up the
fake barf. Send that fake barf to
Laverne and if you haven't done
it yet, send Bernard's
textbook to
Hoagie. Then switch to Hoagie.
Hoagie
Get
upstairs to the
horse on the floor. You can talk to the horse and have some fun conversation with it, so do it before reading Bernard's
textbook to the
horse to make it fall asleep. When the horse gets sleepy it takes out its beautiful teeth. Get the
teeth and send them to
Laverne in an instant. She will need it.
Also send her the
spaghetti from the kitchen in the past.
Laverne
Time to get the mummy ready for the contest. Get all the way upstairs to the
attic and get ready to get the hair right first.
Put the
wet spaghetti from the past on the
mummy as hair. But this looks a bit wild so use the
fork from the present to get the hair perfect.
And I'm pretty sure there were no meaty brown parts in the spaghetti when we did send them through that toilet time machine...
But the hair is beautiful, we just need to put the
horses teeth on the
mummy to give him a nice smile and the
box'o laughs is perfect for the
best laugh category. But there is still a lot of competition going on, especially Harold is very beautiful (yes he is!), so play a bit unfair now.
Just drop the
fake barf on
Harold to get rid of him.
After this is done just walk over to the
judges and
ask them to judge all
categories to win the contest! Congratulations!
With that fine dinner certificate we get down back into the
kennel where the tentacle guard guards the future Edisons. That
guard is gone in seconds when
you hand him over the
dinner certificate. Now we just
flip the switch and need to find a way to get these Edisons out of the jail.
Your best bet it to go
outside the mansion and catch that cat that is here now. Try to pick up the cat. This doesn't seem to work
but you can smear that
Booboo-B-Gone on the
fence. The cat gets the white color on its fur, looks like a skunk now and is not very amused.
So we should get the cat down from there
now.
Hoagie
Get upstairs, all the way to the
attic where you found the red paint.
The cat is still here, playing with its toy, so we should take care of the cat too now. Sit on the
bed in the front to make the mattress accessible to
you. Then grab the mattress and drag it to the bed in the background.
Use the mattress on the other one.
After that is done use the
squeaky mattress on the distant bed and attract the cat this way. Once the cat is all the way at the distant bed run to the
toy
and steal it from the cat. Send this toy to
Laverne now!
Laverne
Use that
cat toy from the past to lure the
cat down from that small roof now. Take it with you and pay a visit to the
Chron-O-John out here. Just plug that
extension cord you found behind the mummy into the
plug of the Chron-O-John and throw the other end into the
window you can see here. Then finally enter the
kennel again and bring the
cat to the
Edisons. What a good thing these Edisons are very
afraid of skunks. And that cats looks a lot like skunk with that white stripe now. So just throw the cat into the cell and scare the Edisons out of there.
The path to the secret lab in the basement is free now, but let me tell you, we need hamsterpower in that basement. So let's see what Bernard can do for us in
that aspect.
Bernard
We already have the
hamster but Bernard refuses to send it via the Chron-O-John, so we just get
upstairs and stuff it into the
ice machine. That will keep the
hamster cool for some more twohundred years. But there is still more to do! Enter the very
first door on the left and meet the sleeping conventioneer.
But he is not that interesting to us yet, so just
close the door from the inside. Look at that, some well hidden
keys are stuck into the lock,
so you better take them with you. Open the door and leave this room again. Go outside now.
Walk past that huge hole in the ground to reach the
parking lot. A
man in ski mask is doing mean things to a car here. Maybe he just lost his keys?
So just ask him if the
keys from the room upstairs are his and he will gladly give you his crowbar. Now get back into the
lobby and use the
crowbar to
scrape that
dime stuck in a gum from the ground.
Use the new
gum item to chew it and free the dime. And while you are here pick up the
dime in the
telephone
in the lobby. Time to get back
upstairs. Enter the
first door on the left again and feed the
Fickel Fingers Coin Slot with the
2 Dimes to free the
sweater from under the salesman. Leave this lovely room and smash the
crowbar against the
candymachine to get some more
change.
Take all these riches with you and go
downstairs and all the way to the
laundry room. Put the
sweater into the the
dryer and feed the dryer with all the
change from the candy machine. That will keep that dryer busy for some time... maybe some 200 years (and 50 days...).
Laverne
Time to yield in everything Bernard just prepared. Go
upstairs and free the poor
frozen hamster from the
ice machine. Go back
downstairs and enter the
kitchen behind the main hall. Put that
frozen hamster into the future
microwave and see him melt. But the hamster is still wet. So get to the
laundry room
next door and collect the
tiny sweater from the dryer that just ran out of money. Put it on the
hamster and get to the
secret lab now.
Plug that
cord coming in through the window from the Chron-O-John into the
outlet of the generator. Then put the warmed up
hamster onto the
generator.
For some funny reason you get hit in the face and the hamster runs away and hides. Luckily Hoagie already put that vacuum flier Bernard found
in the lobby into the suggestion box for the constitution and there is a vacuum cleaner here. So just use the
vacuum cleaner to suck out
that
hamster from that mouse hole. Open the
hatch on the vacuum cleaner and grab the
dustballed hamster and put it in that
generator again.
That's the kickstart for the generator and with the Chron-O-John plugged in now, we are done with the Future.
