Tanker: The Photos of Metal Gear
Snake sneaks in and Shalashaska shows how mean he really is.
After that Otacon briefs you on what you have to do now, so listen to him very carful.
Hold No. 1
You now have 7 minutes to find your way through the huge location in the belly of the Tanker and shouldn't be
spotted considering the huge amount of enemies present here. But luckily these Marines are not paying
much attention (at least on normal difficulty).
So climb down the ladders at once and get to the port side of the room behind all these guys.
Watch out for the lightray of the projector, Snake is a hero indeed but he doesn't want to get on
the big screen this way, you better crawl through under the lightray. You can tranquillize the two singled
out marines on the northwest end before they might spot you and then it's game over.
There is a ladder in the northwest, you get some M9 AMMUNITION there, but this is not really important anymore now.
On the west side from all the Marines you can get almost to the front of the Hold No. 1, but only almost.
Take care of the one Marine that is almost standing with the others, but not really. He is standing next to the last
of these blocks that seperate you from the Marines. Shoot him a tranquillizer right into his neck and he will fall asleep
while he is still standing and now you can walk past him to the end of the room.
Look at the Marines in Hold No. 1. Look really close at all of them! One of the soldiers
is different from the others. He might have missed putting on his pants today.
Hold No. 2
And here you will find even 2 projectors emmiting light and switching around after some time, the soldiers turn around then
and watch the other screen where the image is projected onto. So don't walk through the ray of light when changing sides.
You can knock out a soldier on the eastside again, but make sure he is not falling down or raising his
hands while he is in the light, this might be a bit suspicious ;)
Once you are on the east side and the Marines all look to the southwest you can just march through
and find your way through some boxes and other stuff to the door to exit the Hold No. 2.
You could think it doesn't matter on which side you exit the Hold No. 2, but it does matter, the
west side exit is blocked by some boxes, so your better choice is the eastside.
Take your time to reach the Hold No. 3. Shortly before the countdown reaches its
end the commander in here cracks some jokes.
Hold No. 3
The Photographs of Metal Gear
And now you have to take 4 pictures of Metal Gear. If you listened to Otacon you know what to do already and
what he wants to see on the pictures. If you can't remember here is an explanation of what to do now:
Picture of Metal Gear Ray from the front right:
And that's a lucky coincidence, right where you enter the Hold No. 3 you are in the perfect position for
this picture already, so take a photograph of the huge Metal Gear Ray from where you are.
When you hear a silent plingpling and Snake says something that indicated he is content with himself and with what you did, then the picture is okay.
Picture of Metal Gear Ray from the front:
Sneak along the wall past the soldier operating the camera to the bigger channel in the ground and shoot the
picture from here, a total frontview.
When you hear a silent plingpling and Snake says something that indicated he is content with himself and with what you did, then the picture is okay.
Picture of Metal Gear Ray from the front left:
To the left of the left camera and still behind the freight container you are in a very good position to shoot
the third photograph of Metal Gear.
When you hear a silent plingpling and Snake says something that indicated he is content with himself and with what you did, then the picture is okay.
Picture of Metal Gear Ray with the MARINES logo on it:
Cautiously knock out the guard a bit aside to the left from the group of Marines. He is nice enough to fall asleep
while still standing and won't cause any suspicion from the other marines.
Now sneak past him until you can't go any further. From this bigger room you have a nice view
on one leg of the Metal Gear Mecha. There you can see the desired MARINES logo in white letters on it.
Take a picture of this to connect the Marines to Metal Gear.
When you hear a silent plingpling and Snake says something that indicated he is content with himself and with what you did, then the picture is okay.
Upload the pictures to Otacon:
In the southeast of Hold No. 3 is the terminal, position yourself in front of it and press the

button to upload the files to Otacon.
And now lean back and enjoy! The Tanker level is over gameplaywise, but there is a lot of
plot to unfold now...
