Shining Lizards Locations Map
On the following interactive map you can find all lizard locations in Shadow of the Colossus. Find all the lizards
and collect all their tails and Wander's
gripgauge will become enormously big. This is really helpful if you want to climb up to the
Sometimes you have to search around the area quite a bit,
but all lizards with white tails are really there where the map shows.
If you just shoot the lizard's tail, the lizard survives and grows his tail again after some time of rest.
Just like a normal lizard would do in real life. So you can come back later and shoot and eat his tail again.
The easiest way to hit just the tail is to shoot an arrow next to a lazard sitting on the wall. This makes the lizard drop down and lay on its back.
The lizard stays on its back for some seconds, this is the time where you should shoot its tail only. If you are playing the remake on PS3 and want the lizard
trophy you have to kill all the lizards. Just shooting the tail doesn't count for this. Of course you can combine this by cutting the tail, going away and then you come
back later and kill the lizard and get an extra white tail. Yep, the majority thinks the tail's color is white, so we are not hunting lizards with silver tails.
On every saveshrine there is a lizard with a white tail too. Some saveshrine lizards appear more than once, even though they are killed. Just come back later after killing
it the first time. These lizards are
marked with the number of times they reappear in the map below.
And just to have mentioned it here and leave no questions unanswered, it is of course possible to eat the black tails of the normal overall black lizards, but
you gain no advantage from it.
You can display a checkbox above every lizard symbol on the map so that you can mark every lizard tail you already collected.
And you are shown helpful descriptions of the location of every white tailed lizard in Shadow of the Colossus when you hover your mouse over one of these
Just give it a try and recommend it if you like it. To check it out
I found a great page that shows you the location of the lizards and fruits per map quadrant. It's best
to keep this map here open and cross out the ones you already found with the checkboxes ON the map. If you cannot see any checkboxes at all you first have
The page with the nice pictures can be found
It should be no problem that the page is in french, as it is all about the images anyways.
