Walkthrough

Stages

There are 90 stages in this game (which are like levels, although here, to use the game terminology, they are called stages). These are all selectable from the start so you can choose to start at any stage you like. To select a stage scroll through the playing card like tiles. As you hover over one you will see a little preview of the stage. Once you are ready to choose click the 1 button to select.

When you have completed a stage you can choose to play your next stage from one of five odd or even numbered stages. So for example when you complete stage 1 you can select to play stages 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 next. Similarly when you complete stage 84 you can select to play stages 86, 88, 90, 2 and 4 next (as the game has 90 stages it lets you start from the beginning again).

By selecting stages carefully you can skip some of the harder stages. The stages that I think are hardest and you should avoid if you want an easier ride or to maximise your score (not that there are any high score boards or anything) are: 24, 25, 27, 30, 31, 32, 35, 36, 37, 40, 42, 43, 44, 46, 50, 51, 52, 54, 55, 57, 58, 61, 62, 64, 66, 69, 71, 72, 75, 78, 79, 84, 85, 86, 88, 89 and 90.

Below are the stages with suggested strategies to accompany them.

Stage 1
Stage 1
This stage is like a pyramid. The two bombs you need to explode to complete the stage are on the top of the pyramid in the same row. Just fill up the sides and complete that row and the stage will be done.

Stage 2
Stage 2
This stage has blocks forming a two-shape on top of a row of six bombs. You just need to complete the bottom row by filling in the two-gap at the left, and the two-gap at the right. You can do this with specific pieces as they fall. If any other pieces come along that you can't use for this then you can plop them out of the way by putting them on top of the two.

Stage 3
Stage 3
In this stage the blocks form a three-shape with two bombs within the three. This is the first stage where you need to clear two rows to complete it. Just complete those two rows. You can forget about the other rows.

Stage 4
Stage 4
In this stage there are three columns six-blocks high. The two outer columns are two-blocks wide whilst the middle column is one-block wide. There is one bomb which is on the top of the middle column. Therefore there is only one row you need to complete which is the sixth row up. So complete that row.

Stage 5
Stage 5
There are nine bombs in this stage, one in each of the bottom nine rows on the grid. The blocks that are already there are forming a triangle. The best thing here to do is clear the bottom rows first and work your way up.

Stage 6
Stage 6
There are nine bombs in this stage across five separate rows. And in-between are some blocks which are trying to block your access to them. You may want to remove these by completing their rows to make access to the bombs easier, or you may be able to manoeuvre your pieces around these rogue blocks.

Stage 7
Stage 7
In this stage there are four columns of single-block width going into the sky, with two bombs on the top of the middle two columns in the same row. Therefore you need only to complete this row, although the columns are quite high so you may want to get rid of some of the other rows to make your life easier.

Stage 8
Stage 8
Things are getting a little harder now. This grid is made up of a load of single-blocks spread out across the bottom of the grid with gaps between them. There is one bomb to clear in the fifth row up from the bottom. So concentrate on clearing this row. The only thing you need to worry about is getting your pieces around the two rogue pieces that are above this row.

Stage 9
Stage 9
There are four bombs here, two on each side of the area. In between them is a gap, block, gap, block sequence. Fill the gaps in this row then fill the second row. This should be relatively easy to do.

Stage 10
Stage 10
An easy stage with four bombs in a row in the middle of the board with a three-gap-length either side of the same row. Just use a T or L-shape to fill those gaps on and it'll be done.

Stage 11
Stage 11
The blocks in this stage are arranged in a G-shape with five bombs being on the same row in the middle of it. For this one you need to send two 4x1 shapes to the left of the G to fill that side, and use your other blocks to fill the rest of the gaps in the row. It may be that you have to wait a while for the 4x1 shapes to come so you can just pile all your unwanted blocks above the G.

Stage 12
Stage 12
This stage resembles a giant reverse tick with bits missing. There is only one bomb on the right at the top so concentrate on this row. The hardest bit to this row will be over to the far left of the screen because of the pieces already there doing their best to block you. So concentrate on filling this out effectively first to get this stage done easier.

Stage 13
Stage 13
The blocks here resemble a large L-shape with a row of 11 bombs going through the middle of it, covering eight rows. Still relatively easy to complete though; just clear all the rows from the bottom to the top.

Stage 14
Stage 14
Here the blocks form a hollow circle with two bombs in the middle of it. You need to clear the two blocks at the top of the circle to gain access to the middle. You may want to try and clear more than just the upper row of the circle to make life easier. Once done complete the one row you need to not worrying about the rest as you can't clear the rows below this anyway without clearing this row.

Stage 15
Stage 15
There is one bomb on this stage in the bottom row. There is only one gap in this row that needs to be filled. Problem is that there are two rows of blocks above that so clear these first then fill that gap.

Stage 16
Stage 16
This stage resembles a three-rung ladder. There are twelve bombs along the three rungs. You just need to clear these rows by filling the big gap on the right-hand side.

Stage 17
Stage 17
There are five bombs at the top of the right side. To clear the row with the bombs on you first need to clear the five blocks on the row above on the left side. So fill out this row then the row with the bombs on and the stage will be done. All the rows below can't be cleared.

Stage 18
Stage 18
There are two bombs, both on top of single blocks but in different rows. Just build up your blocks from the bottom until you get to these rows which you can then complete.

Stage 19
Stage 19
This one looks harder than it is. There are only two bombs, one on either side of the middle structure. There are other blocks up and down this structure but you only need to clear one row and not all the others.

Stage 20
Stage 20
There are 16 bombs in this stage, across two rows including the bottom row. If you're lucky your first two pieces will be 4x1 lines that you just slot into the gaps to complete the bottom row. Chances are that that isn't going to happen so most likely you'll need to clear all the rows above before you can sort that bottom row. When doing that bear in mind where the gaps are below so that you try your best not to block them.

Stage 21
Stage 21
There are fifteen bombs here, the hardest of which to get rid of will be the ones on the bottom row, because a block overhangs a gap on that row. Get rid of the rows above to clear a space so you can complete that bottom row.

Stage 22
Stage 22
The blocks here are arranged like a U-shape. There are five bombs within the U spread over five rows so get rid of all the rows you can, which is the only way you can get access to the gaps in the second from bottom row which contains the final bomb.

Stage 23
Stage 23
There are two bombs here, one floating in space, and the other within a hollow circle of blocks which can only be accessed when you've taken the top off of it. So get the bottom bomb first then build up your blocks so you can reach the second one and clear that row.

Stage 24
Stage 24
The layout of this stage is like a warrior with a shield and dagger. The blocks reach very close to the top so the stage is quite hard. There are two bombs within the helmet spikes. If you get a lucky run of blocks you can do it, but there isn't much room for manoeuvre.

Stage 25
Stage 25
There are six bombs here arranged in the blocks in the five rows at the bottom of the screen. You need to take out all the rows from the top down to access the bombs at the bottom. Try not to cover the gaps that need doing in the lower rows when doing this.

Stage 26
Stage 26
There is one bomb here so only one row to clear. Build up blocks on the right, including to complete the rest of the row that the bomb is in, and to also complete the top row. Once the top row is completed you will have access to the other gap in the row with the bomb in it so fill it.

Stage 27
Stage 27
This stage is like a big Z with two bombs inside it. The easy part is the left side where you hopefully slip in a shape to fill the gap next to the bomb, as well as filling the gap on that side. The harder part is the right-hand side where only a 4x1 shape can fit. So perhaps try and remove the top two rows first before attempting that side (and maybe the other side if you prefer) to make life easier.

Stage 28
Stage 28
In this stage the blocks are arranged to say MSX going downwards. There is one bomb which is in the X at the bottom. To complete that row send a T-shape or a L-shape down the left, and the other shapes down the right, and just concentrate on completing that row as the others would be very difficult to complete.

Stage 29
Stage 29
Here the stage is an upside-down U with two bombs inside the top part of it. You need to get rid of the top row so you can access the row the bombs are on.

Stage 30
Stage 30
Here eight bombs are on four rows within the tower of blocks. Complete those rows if you can, although you may want to complete some of the other rows to send the structure nearer the bottom of the screen.

Stage 31
Stage 31
This stage is arranged like a tree with three bombs inside the leaves as if they were apples growing on the tree, ready to be plucked and eaten (I am so poetic). This is quite a hard stage as you need to work on the rows at the top and work down to hopefully get to the rows with the bombs in, and there is only about a third of the board to work with at the start.

Stage 32
Stage 32
Here there are twelve bombs inside an O of blocks. You'll need to clear the top of the O to get inside. Once the top is off if you get some 4x1 shapes you can send them in to fill the gap beside the bombs and the side parts of the O. However these may not materialise so you may need to take out each row one-by-one from the top.

Stage 33
Stage 33
There is nothing but bombs in this stage. Two columns of 4x9 arrangements of bombs are on the right and the left. Just fill the gap between placing any shapes you can't use out of the way at the top of these columns.

Stage 34
Stage 34
Here the blocks form a zigzag shape. There are three bombs, one on each of the turning points of the zigzag. You need to complete the top row first to gain access to the lower row with the bombs in so build your blocks up so you can do that first.

Stage 35
Stage 35
This one's a bit harder with the bombs being in awkward places to reach. You can detonate the bombs on the bottom row if you get the correct pieces and send them down the right-hand side before quickly putting them into position. The other bomb has a gap to the left of it which is quite difficult to get because there are two stray blocks above it that first need their rows completed. Also if you get any 4x1 shapes come in put them in the middle column to fill that up.

Stage 36
Stage 36
There are 24 bombs here in the middle of the screen forming a circle. Around them are some lines of blocks getting in your way. Perhaps the best strategy here is to get rid of the top row first so you have better access to the bombs then remove them as best you can.

Stage 37
Stage 37
There are two bombs on the bottom row but above that is a slalom of rows to block you. You can either remove those rows for better access, or manouevre shapes down to the bottom through the slalom (if the speed is not too fast).

Stage 38
Stage 38
This is a mini totem pole with four bombs on it arranged across two rows. Therefore just concentrate on completing those two rows starting with the bottom of them.

Stage 39
Stage 39
There is one bomb in this stage to clear with a row of blocks above it to complete first. Once that row is out of the way you need simply to complete the row with the bomb on and it is stage complete.

Stage 40
Stage 40
Here there are two bombs to remove that are quite enclosed. The problem area will be the left. First remove the top row. Then remove the single block on the row below to give you access to the left side, whilst simultaneously completing the right side where possible. After that you should have access to the left side so that you can complete the rows with the bombs in.

Stage 41
Stage 41
This is a maze of a grid but all the bombs are at the top so if you get 2 Ls or 2 4x1s you can quickly complete this stage.

Stage 42
Stage 42
The blocks in this stage are shaped like a question mark. And the bombs are at the bottom of the question mark. This means you need to try your best to get access to them by completing the top 6-rows of the question mark, which is easier said than done.

Stage 43
Stage 43
Another difficult level as the bomb is stuck in a hard to reach place so try and remove the rows above it whilst trying to fill as many of the gaps below as you can, and also whilst trying not to block access to the gaps below.

Stage 44
Stage 44
This level has blocks arranged like falling rocks with the two bombs being in hard to reach locations. You'll need to clear all the blocks above them before you can get to complete the bottom row to detonate the final bomb.

Stage 45
Stage 45
The blocks here are arranged a little like a pair of specs. There is only one bomb though, at the top so it is easy enough to just complete that row.

Stage 46
Stage 46
There are four bombs arranged in the bottom two rows of the screen, with several blocks above. You first need to remove the blocks above to get to the bombs.

Stage 47
Stage 47
There are four bombs dotted on the grid, with one quite high up. There are no other blocks here so maybe play this one as a normal game of Tetris to lower the top bomb and give you move breathing space before detonating it.

Stage 48
Stage 48
There are three 3x3 squares made of blocks here with bombs in the middle of each of them. But the arrangement means they should all be easy to take out. If you get any 2x2 square shapes fall you could send them to the left of the middle square to help fill that gap whilst sending the other shapes you get down the right to get rid of the bottom bomb.

Stage 49
Stage 49
This grid is like a little face pocking up from the bottom of the screen with two bombs on the bottom row being the top of the nose. You need to remove all the blocks above pretty much to get access to this row.

Stage 50
Stage 50
There are three bombs in this stage, one in each of the bottom three rows. And there are a lot of other blocks above them blocking you. So remove all these. Any 4x1s you get send to the left to help remove them.

Stage 51
Stage 51
This is an A-shape with two bombs to detonate, one in the middle of the A and one underneath the A. To get to the bottom bomb you'll need to take out the rows above.

Stage 52
Stage 52
There are 18 bombs here, 3 on each of the bottom six rows. Each row has one gap in it, plus there are some red blocks at the top also blocking the way. Get rid of them all to get to the bottom row, and try not to block the gaps below as you do that.

Stage 53
Stage 53
There are only two bombs here, both on the right, and a triangleof blocks on the left blocking the way down bar for a gap on the right. Send your blocks down the right and slide them into place to fill the two rows with bombs in.

Stage 54
Stage 54
This is a hard stage with a lot of blocks, and an X in the middle of gaps, with the four bombs at the ends of the X. You'll have to eliminate the rows from the top.

Stage 55
Stage 55
The blocks here form some sort of symbol (Korean perhaps) or maybe a dragon's face with the two bombs being eyes. Complete the three rows above the row with the bombs then complete that one too.

Stage 56
Stage 56
Here get rid of the three rows at the top so that you can access the bottom two rows where the bombs are. Then complete those rows and the stage will be complete.

Stage 57
Stage 57
There are two bombs here, one on the bottom row and one at the top of some steps made of blocks. Complete the top row and work down from there. The hard part will be filling in the right-hand side.

Stage 58
Stage 58
There are two bombs here underneath some blocks forming zigzag lines. Get rid of the red zigzag followed by the blue then the white/yellow. The hardest part will be the bit on the right of the row that the bottom bomb is on.

Stage 59
Stage 59
There are a series of columns here of various heights, and two bombs to the right. You can easily complete those two rows starting with the lower of them.

Stage 60
Stage 60
Here there are four incompleted rows of blocks with a bomb at the top of them and a bomb at the bottom of them. Complete each row in turn then complete the rows with the bombs in.

Stage 61
Stage 61
On this stage there are a series of blocks arranged in a sort of X shape, with two bombs, one in the middle and one at the bottom. You're going to have to complete most of the rows to get to the bottom one.

Stage 62
Stage 62
Here the blocks are arranged across the top to form what looks like X68, and across the bottom to form 000. There are three bombs in the middle of the X68 part. So complete the two rows above that line then fill the gaps.

Stage 63
Stage 63
The blocks here are arranged like a slanted egg timer with the two bombs in the middle on the same row. Get rid of the top line of blocks then send blocks down the two sides to complete the row with the bombs in.

Stage 64
Stage 64
There are only two bombs here, both on the same row. Trouble is the blocks above are getting in the way. First remove the top row of blocks, then the circle of blocks above the gap between the two bombs before completing the bomb row to advance.

Stage 65
Stage 65
There are three bombs in this level. Complete the row with the left-most bomb first. This will make the row below, which also has a bomb in, easier to complete.

Stage 66
Stage 66
Here there are some blocks arranged like steps in the middle going up from left to right, with a bomb at the top, and a bomb in the bottom right corner in the gap. Complete the rows going down as best you can to get to that last bomb.

Stage 67
Stage 67
Here the blocks form two hollow squares. The top square is formed of 12 bombs with a block in the middle whilst the bottom square is formed of 12 blocks with a bomb inside. Just take out the top row of the bottom square first, then get rid of the row with the bomb that was inside it before tackling the bombs in the top square.

Stage 68
Stage 68
There are two bombs in-between two almost complete rows of blocks. Take out the top of these before completing the row with the two bombs on.

Stage 69
Stage 69
There are two bombs in this level. The top one should be straightforward. Just remove the top row, then complete the row with the bomb on. The next bomb is more tricky because of the blocks above the gap that is in the row so see if you can remove them to expose the gap.

Stage 70
Stage 70
The blocks here look like a man standing with his legs akimbo. There is one bomb in his face, and one between his legs. Get rid of the row with his arms on so that you can complete the top red row that forms the legs. Once that is done you can get between them to complete the row with the bomb on. The bomb in the face should be ok as that is at the top of the blocks.

Stage 71
Stage 71
The blocks here make a ladder with two bombs at the top, and two on the very bottom row. To get the bottom two you are going to have to slip in L-shape blocks under the ladder, so try not to block the way with other blocks, otherwise you'll need to take out the rows above which will be a difficult task. Once one L is in one side, and you have completed the rest of the row on that side, you can deposit unwanted blocks above it on that side of the grid. The bombs in the top row can be got rid of once the bombs in the bottom row are done.

Stage 72
Stage 72
Some random block placement is going on here with two bombs in the bottom two rows. The blocks above these rows don't make it easy to get to that bottom area so take them out as you go.

Stage 73
Stage 73
This level has blocks making a giant X with 4 bombs forming a 2x2 square in the middle of it. Complete the top two rows so you can send blocks down the sides to help complete the rows with the bombs on.

Stage 74
Stage 74
There is one bomb here, on the right below all the other blocks. It looks like it is in a difficult place but by sending blocks down the left side you can build them up to that row and complete it easily enough.

Stage 75
Stage 75
This stage looks like a guy standing on his head with the bombs forming his head and his waist. You need to clear all the blocks here to get to the ones at the bottom. As the blocks fall you might be able to fill the side gaps once you get the guy's legs out the way, to help fill that middle row with the bombs on.

Stage 76
Stage 76
This stage has blocks arranged like they are the head of a big worm (best seen from the little playing card type illustration of the level) where the top gap is the worm's eyebrow (what do you mean worms don't have eyebrows?), the gap below forming the eye (what do you mean worms don't have eyes?), and the other two the mouth (what do you... oh, never mind). There are three bombs with two around the eye and one in the mouth. You can take out the rows at the bottom if you wish. If you can slide in an L-shape to the mouth area to help complete that row, and then get the top bomb-rows out the way.

Stage 77
Stage 77
The blocks here look like they've made two triangles, one on top of the other, with 17 bombs forming most of the top triangle. Start completing the rows from the bottom on the left side. Any 4x1s you get send down the right.

Stage 78
Stage 78
Seven bombs here are arranged around various other blocks. Just try your best to remove them to access the row with the bottom bomb in.

Stage 79
Stage 79
There are two bombs here, You will need to take out the blocks above them so you can access the rows they are on.

Stage 80
Stage 80
The blocks here are arranged possibly to look like three letters CTH, with the solitary bomb being under the middle part of the H. Take out the top row first, then send blocks down the gaps to try and complete the row with the bomb on.

Stage 81
Stage 81
This is a very easy level for so late in the game. There is one bomb on top of all the red blocks below that form two triangles. Just complete that row.

Stage 82
Stage 82
There is one bomb in this level, inside a rectangle of blocks near the top of the screen. Take out the top row of the rectangle so you can access the inside, and complete the row with the bomb on.

Stage 83
Stage 83
There is only one column of blocks here, made of 16 squares with every alternate square being a bomb. Just treat this level as a normal level of Tetris and work your way from bottom to top completing every row.

Stage 84
Stage 84
There are two bombs here on the bottom row. Above them are some awkward blocks to get rid of. Try and do this by initially sending blocks down the middle.

Stage 85
Stage 85
There are three bombs here arranged within seven rows of blocks which wach have just one gap in. Complete these from the top down trying to not block the gaps in the rows below.

Stage 86
Stage 86
The blocks here are arranged like they are planets in space, with the bottom one presumably being Earth as it is green and blue (with yellow). There are eight bombs to get rid of. Try and get rid of the bottom two first by sending blocks down the gap between the red planet and the planet with the ring around it. Then get rid of the remaining bombs by working down from the top.

Stage 87
Stage 87
There are only bombs in this stage, 39 of them in fact, if I counted correctly. Get rid of them all by working from the top down. If you get a 4x1 shape near the beginning send that down the middle.

Stage 88
Stage 88
This level looks like a sigma (you know that Greek letter that they use in Maths) of bombs inside a bigger sigma of blocks. Complete the top row first, then remove the row below that and try and fill the gaps below in the rows with the bombs in.

Stage 89
Stage 89
The blocks here are surely arranged in some sort of Korean letters. There are four bombs here on two rows. You need to send any 4x1 shapes you get down the middle, then fill the sides of the two rows with the bombs on to complete the stage.

Stage 90
Stage 90
This stage has no pre-arranged blocks and no bombs in it. Therefore there is no way to complete this stage; you just need to play until you die. It is like a normal game of Tetris; well it is the last level after all. And that's the game.
