Road to Rio de Janeiro is an online mode that can be accessed via the Online tab of the main menu. It is similar to Seasons mode in the main FIFA series.

Play your way through the 12 Brazilian host cities of the FIFA World Cup. You have 10 matches in each city to earn enough points to advance to the next. Each point earned advances you 1 spot along the road to the next city.

EARN ENOUGH POINTS:
Avoid relegation in the SAFE ZONE. Earn enough points and advance to the next city.

NOT ENOUGH POINTS:
Failing to pass the RELEGATION line will send you back to the previous city.

A win advances 3 spots
A draw advances 1 spot

City 2: Cuiabá
City 3: Porto Alegre
City 4: Curitiba
City 5: Brasilia
City 6: Fortaleza
City 7: Natal
City 8: Recife
City 9: Salvador
City 10: Belo Horizonte
City 11: São Paulo
City 12: Rio de Janeiro
