Game Modes

Tournament

Tournaments is where you go to play some of the tournaments that appear in FIFA 14, or where you can create your own. To get to this section go to Play>+More>Custom/New/Load Tournament.

The real tournaments available to play here include the leagues and main cups from each of the leagues in the game (as can be seen in the Leagues, teams, players and stadiums listings and ratings section above). They don't include the cups that are one-off matches (e.g. F.A. Community Shield), nor continental competitions (e.g. Champions Cup), nor international tournaments (e.g. World Cup). These can only be played in Career mode.

You can also choose to create your own custom tournament. When creating a new tournament you can customise the following options:

The name of the tournament
Number of teams
Whether you want the opposition teams automatically picked or not
Type of tournament (knockout, league, random, group and knockout)
Advanced settings (on/off)
- Auto fill from (custom/leagues/international/all)
- Team rating range (all/less than 2 stars/2-4 stars/4+ stars)
- No. of subs on bench (5-7)
- The style of trophy you want (Cup 1-5)
- Rules for legs in each round, whether you play teams once or twice, plus a separate option for the final
- Stadium to hold the final at

Once you've set up a tournament you can try and win it. You can sim matches too if you want. You can also save the tournament and come back to it at a later stage.

During the tournament use the statistics option in the menu to see the tournament standings of your team.

I have followed all of your instructions but their is no custom mode, it only says load tournament, but there isn't one. EA produced a separate game for the world cup, although not on the PC. You will need to create a custom tournament instead.
