let's just spam 50 post disussing who should open the next topic =) imho TD should do it as the most active contributor to this project. I would gladly take the 3rd topic. I'll probably remove mine once the new project starts. It takes too long to update my site and anything decent can be ported to selmiak's site anyway. TD, I contemplated whether or not to add that game from the list when I added the "Covered by Another System before the restart of this CP", deciding that it was better to include a full list encase someone decided to bring up some crap about the game not being included. I can justify adding the game being added to the list easier than not adding it by the fact that it provides a full list of "Covered for Another System" games. Additionally, it is in a different section of the site to the Incomplete list and has been on a dedicated page on my site since the "Covered for Another System" games were separated from the rest of the game list. --- Sign for System Requirements/Recommendations for games: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=53203289 |

Think that is it, unless someone can get Game Data from some Korean games not on this site (Dodgeball King, for example) or that version not being listed on this site (The Dinosaur Dooley, for example). I know I said I was going to remove my website once this topic finishes, but I am not going to do that now. I have just realised that I have that website linked in a sig on an important petition I am running and remember reading that referral links were against the TOU, so I don't want that topic closed based on me removing the site. This should not affect the main topic when it gets recreated, as mention of my website should still be removed from the first post. --- Sign for System Requirements/Recommendations for games: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=53203289 |

Finally my Submarine Attack guide got accepted! I basically had to revamp the whole guide, which took me a while. But I am glad that game is knocked out. I will claim The Smurfs as my next project. This is probably the last SMS game that I own that doesn't have a FAQ, although I know I have Earthworm Jim somewhere. >_< --- "Bob, wheres yo mind at?" - Mark Wilkins from Resident Evil Outbreak Baltimore Orioles: 0-0 | Baltimore Ravens: 10-8 |
Eternal_Debate | Posted 3/30/2010 3:44:07 AM | message detail |
Think Earthworm Jim was a Brazillian or South African only game? Not 100% sure on that, would need to check. Maybe you live there anyway, I don't know. Think it was only really released on Mega Drive/Genesis for Sega in most countries. The controller mentoned sort of works on Meka (another emulator) - think it is called a Sports Pad? Tried one soccer game with it and it is still very hard to control. Haven't tried the game mentioned, so can't confirm if this is the controller needed. Hopefully able to get the guides I have done up this weekend. Sort of given up on images working properly in FAQ's (SB's response was the issue would be fixed "soon" on the feedback I sent). Images would help for the Chuck Rock one though (I don't describe the enemies very well - dunno how you can for some. If you've played it, you'd know what I mean.) --- Congrats to Dr_Football - Guru LEGEND 2010! ~ Ringworm ~ |

Take me off of Streets of Rage 2 . The GG version this game is exactly the same I can confirm. As far I can tell, the only difference is that the enemy names do not appear. Hmm, never really formally claimed it back in early January like I thought I had, just siad I was considering it. You can put my name down for Game Box Serie Esportes Radicais. Quick question about this game, as far as I can tell, it was only released in Brazil, however the site lists it as being released in South Africa. Think there are other games listed as South African which from memory other websites say were only released in Brazil also. Think this is because the company which released this game, TecToy is based in South Africa. Reason I am fairly sure this is Brazillian though is the cover shot and game name. Translating it from Portugese to English translates the name correctly (I assume) to Game Box Series Extreme Sports (Thanks Google) - the writing on the back cover seems to be Portugese also, haven't translated this yet to check. Can anyone confirm where this game was released? The cover mentions SA on the back (guessing this is where the South Africa in the Game Data comes from), but also mentions Manaus - a city in Brazil. The game is easily playable with no knowledge of Portugese - it is just two events from Califonia Games anyway, and the menus are in English. For those interested in checking (especially if you can read Portugese) link to the box: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/sms/image/960944.html?box=126379 Game Data: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/sms/data/960944.html Thanks! Anyone figured out who is creating Topic 2 BTW? We'll need it in a few posts time. Doesn't really matter who does I guess. I know this has been going slowly lately, but I'll try to make sure this project doesn't die completely again, even if I have to cover every game myself! As long as somebody keeps a website going and is willing to update it (something I don't know how to do), this will keep going. --- ~ Ringworm ~ |

Ringworm, I have not seen this site have a dedicated "Brazil" indication like they have with Australia, Japan and Korea. Right then, I will re-claim James Pond 2 since I already have an incomplete FAQ for that. Hopefully I can knock this out in a week or so. That way at least it won't have been a completely barren month. I will stop short of claiming Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II although probably I will write for that at some point. Anyone who is looking at BMX Trial: Alex Kidd should know that this game is playable in Meka. It is really blocky and imprecise, but you could definitely get enough out of the game to write a guide. --- It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt - Mark Twain |
