Just looked at the Populous guide on this site. With information in that guide and playing the highest recorded level code in the guide, I have seen that there are at least 5,007 levels to this game!

The FAQ on this site seems to be complete and should be good enough to cover the game (and the author states that s/he has only managed to get upto 5,200 (approx) before giving up, coupled with the game not recognising codes past 5,100).

I finished the first level of The Addams Family with the NES walkthrough. Seemed to be a 1 on 1 copy. There are differences according though according to Wikipedia. Is AdamL still reachable? Maybe we can convince him to write a SMS FAQ for the game.

He generally appears in the NES topic, but I can not remember if he has posted in any other topic.

Ok now, so I found something rather interesting in the game I was planning on doing, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs.

This is a port from the SNES game, only that it was unfinished due to unknown reasons. Should I even bother to write for this game? In the internet, very few people now about this game. Should I ask SB to link the FAQs from the SNES game to this one? I've played this SMS version, and they're the same, despite some errors that I found and the ones already mentioned in Wikipedia.

What do you guys think?

As there are several flaws in the game, you could write a more specific SMS guide that also mentions the flaws as well as how to complete the game.

Personally, I would prefer a guide for the SMS version of each game because I have found several cross-linked guides that has enough differences to make the guide terrible for the version I want.

However, if you are having any doubts on whether or not to write for any game in this project, don't feel as if you need to write for it.

I've thought about it and I'll let Battletoads in Battlemaniacs there, as I sent a ticket to SB explaining him that it's the same game, only with some mayor flaws and he already link the SNES FAQ to the SMS version of the game.

I really don't think another FAQ should be written for this game, because the one that's already up is very good and it'll be hard to explain things as detailed as he did. So you can take me off this game, as well as take it off the incomplete list. Also, what I may do is a little FAQ explaining the differences of the game, but I'm still unsure of that, I need to finish the game first, and it's hard because it's so tedious. >_>

I started Ecco: The Tides of Time but can't even pass the first level.

^ IIRC, you have to do a huge jump out of the water to start a scene that will allow you continue to the next level.

stuck on level 4

Just noticed some problems with the Statistics page, which has now been corrected (hopefully).

Also, up to level 5,136 on Populous. I think this game will be better as a description on how to play the game instead of holding the user's hand (especially through all 5,000+ levels).

Anyone remember the name of an SMS where you shoot different bad guys from a first person perspective while traveling through different levels? I remember you shoot the bad guys from a car and from a neighborhood and the screen is a side-scroller for a few levels. I also remember you get a continue if you shoot some guy's hat at the game over screen. Does anyone know the name of this game? If you do, and it has no guide, then I might be able to write one for that game. I just need to know the name so I can find it.

It's Gangster Town, IIRC. One of the early levels involve you shooting a car with other gangsters inside it. I'll try to upload a few images of the gameplay.

I tried playing some of the games on the list to see if I could maybe pick some up. A few observations:

-Batman Returns looks and plays similarly to another Batman game I've played - can't put my finger on which one though.
-The Flash is ****ing ridiculous. Why can't anybody get him right? :(
-Laser Ghost can be played without a Light Gun, but it's ridiculously difficult. LG recommended.

When I have some time, I'll take a look at Alien 3, although I suspect it will probably be similar to the superior Genesis/SNES versions.

selmiak, good job with the site. Just tested out the claiming feature with Populous and it appears to work. Only thing I would ask is that you edit the title for "Predator 2" as you have it posted twice in your table.

Another thing about the site, I think you should make another form to add "Complete [by another system]" games to the database. This will allow users to give credit to the person (or persons) that completed the game for the project.

You may want to look at my attempt to add "Ecco: The Tides of Time" to the current complete list to see why there should be another form for "Complete [by another system]" games.

There is nothing wrong with the form, it's just, that no entry for the writer is found in the memberlist... which confuses the output... I'll look at that later, as I have some days without internet ahead >_>
So please don't add finished guides to database, no matter if they're from and for the project or not <_<
Either leave them out for a while or add them as a half circle guide maximum... >_<

@Games: fixed it, just add the game nomally and then edit it afterwards from the incomplete list. All the options in the edit screen should be working by now. If you find any bugs, just post them here or send me a mail.

Hey selmiak, there are some games in Games' list that don't appear in GameFAQ's, so I didn't put them in the list, since I can't without the ID. There are also some games that were released in AU, so I didn't add those either.

For some reason, they didn't appear yesterday, but the are already here and I added them to the site. Should I add Cancelled games as well? GameFAQ's won't receive any FAQ for it.

Generally, there won't be any FAQs for canceled games. But, sometimes, a proto is found and it's nice to have a mini-guide up for enthusiasts.

selmiak, I can not seem to add Ecco: The Tides of Time back to the database. The site states that the game is already in the database and can not be re-added. This maybe a game that you need to add to the complete list yourself.
