If we can, we should also try to bring the coverage of boxshots and screenshots for SEGA Master System games to 100%. I submitted screenshots for the italic games. It leaves three games in the screenshot department if they get accepted. And two of them are part of the third one, so we need one person to take screenshots.

selmiak, just started to add some games into the website's database (as there appears to be a couple of games that have been covered without our knowledge) and started to hide them. If you check Ringworm's profile, you will see the game Action Fighter within his covered games.

Is it possible to hide these hidden games from appearing within the games covered profile section for non-admins?

Should mention that the stats showing how many games the person covered from the CP is correct for both admins and non-admins.

Just discovered we can link the compilated games in 4 Pak All Action. Unlike what we thought earlier, all games are on GameFAQs already.

My little attack on the screenshots for the Master System helped. These are the stats now, only two games left in that area.

Space Gun submitted, Wonder Boy will hopefully follow by the end of the year. I'm hoping to gain 109 KB over three FAQs and then quit. That would give me 40 FAQs and 7000 KB. Might be a short break or a long one, I don't know yet.

I have no clue. A lot will depend on the size of Wonder Boy, I want to get as close as possible.

The Dinosaur Dooley is driving me insane. The first two stages are pretty easy but the final two are stupidly difficult. There's no damn reason for it and its holding up my progress.

Found a way to get myself motivated with Tennis Ace - play it while B-Speccing races in GT5. Been doing so lately, got a few matches done so far this way. Still a boring game, and got about 8 matches to finish up before I am done, but it is a bit more interesting than watching my car drive around in front of the pack for 15 minutes with none of the other cars getting close to it (most races end up like this). Likely to get through the remaining matches by the end of the year and get the guide posted - it's my goal to do so anyway.

Gets me through two games at once this way.

Thanks. Also a bit more general news: I have written a sizeable chunck of the Wonder Boy guide and have looked through a couple of games I can still cover. I have found 11 of them that I still fancy, so I might call it quits at 50 instead of 40.

Could we get to 100 games left before 2011?

I think it would be possible to complete 3 guides before the end of the year. The only problem that we might encounter is what SB is doing with the contribution queue this week and next week.

Yeah, I have two matches of Tennis Ace left and I'm finished the game, it'll be done this year, just depends if Allen is around to post the guide or not. So that's one you can count on.

Okay, I've submitted Double Hawk. We're one game away from 100 if California Games II and Double Hawk get accepted.

Make it 100. Submitted Tennis Ace however noticed I'd left a section out, so resubmitted it, may be dated 1/1 however it was done in 2010 (mostly).

Not sure what my next FAQ will be, nothing planned right now. I'll claim something again eventually.

Congrats to Black Turtle, this year's Guru Champion!

In that case we can move onto the next milestone: beating the old project. If those three get accepted, we're at 68 written and the old one stopped at 77.

Just so everyone knows, Joni's target will require 10 guides. Hopefully, Feburary will be as eventful as last year. Although, there will be a slightly earlier target of reaching 75 completed guides (whcih only requires 7 guides).

It's actually quite sad (to me) that a console with such a great selection (quality-wise) required completion projects to get most of the guides completed. I probably would have written for at least 1 game covered by this CP anyway [James Pond 2], but that's not the point.

TD, I kinda guessed you would claim that game when this project was created. Remember, we both did mention that we liked the game and were thinking about writing a guide (me with SMS, you with Genisis) for different versions of the game.


Anyway, it looks like SB has been clearing the list, with 2/3 guides already accepted (Double Hawk and Tennis Ace). Congrats and let's hope the third game also gets accepted.

Congrats to selmiak for getting his guide accepted.

This guide means that the project only has 100 games left to complete a guide for (a bit more for the cross-linked games). Let's keep up the good work.


BTW, on the "old vs new" CP stats, it would be questionable whether one of the games was not half-covered by the old CP. The game - "Marksman Shooting / Trap Shooting / Safari Hunt" - was only covered because of my guide for "Marksman Shooting & Trap Shooting" and imperator's guide for "Safari Hunt". This would mean that we would need 79 games completed to be sure that we could claim that this project completed more games than the old one. Just a thought.

The old project only said to have completed Safari Hunt, not the compilation, and as your guide covers 2/3 of this compilation we can safely say we covered more than 50% of this and so ...yeah, gimme gimme gimme =)

My next project is going to be a nice little F, Fire & Forget. Another basic game. I don't feel like going for Wonder Boy yet.

I don't think I'm going to write any more FAQs so I'll just say a couple of things. First of all, I believe that the JP version of Enduro Racer is a different game to the one that I've FAQed so this should probably be looked into. Secondly, I have a three-quarters complete Dinosaur Dooley FAQ that I'm not going to be able to finish. I'll pass this file and any others that I have on to somebody (probably Games if that's okay?) so at least they won't be wasted. Peace.

TD, couple of things:

1) I will store the guide for whenever someone else wants to tackle the game, if you send it to me.

2) Do you want me to remove the claims you made on the site?

3) [Off-Topic] Will you work anymore on the last Professor Layton guide we are doing? It is almost complete, just the few Layton Challenges puzzles and the Weekly Puzzles (as well as the Hint Coin section, but that is something I will cover myself).
